X-Games 2023

THE RETURN

The sun is shining and we're on the beach in Ventura, CA for the long awaited return of X Games. This year, 13 of the 19 Moto X competitors are representing Thrill Seekers, so there was no chance of us missing this event. We didn't score media passes, so we bought general admission tickets- you know, to show our support! Taka ended up offering a few guest passes to us, so we were able to go in the cool guy area and get some better camera angles. Thanks Taka!

QUARTER PIPE

"CREEDY JUST SENT IT! AHHH COLBY WENT HIGHER! OH MY GAWDDD!" -me screaming like a child

X Games Quarter Pipe is no joke. Launching your 250lb moto bike straight up as if it were an actual spacecraft, then falling 70 ish feet straight back down to earth making sure you land in the "sweet spot" of the landing is insane. It defies the laws of physics, I think. Colby Raha had been dominating this lawless game of Quarter Pipe mega air for two consecutive years and he seemed like a certain 3-peat candidate, but not without certain threat from Corey Creed. Earlier in the year, Creed had been posting practice footage from his compound in Australia making it clear that he was aiming to claim the rights to gold. When it came down to business, Creedy valiantly held off Raha at 55'7" *this height is measured from the top of the 20' ramp, so tack that on top*, until Raha's final run where he boosted 56'3" off the top of the ramp for the Gold Medal and a new World Record. Rock n roll boys, that shit was wild to witness. Creed should be damn proud of that silver medal. He'll be back extra hungry next year. TB grabbed the bronze with 52'1", which up until this day would have been a world record. Gnarly.

Thrill Crüe sweeps podium.           What's up Creedy!                   TB out there stylin'                      A goldy for Colby

KOHL D.

Kohl Denney is a man of many talents and QuarterPipe is one of them. He missed a medal by one position, reaching a height of 49'8". If this were two years ago, he would've won gold. He'll keep chargin' and havin' a damn good time doing it. We love ya Kohl.

...side shoutout to Ronnie Renner for pioneering the Moto Quarterpipe in 2009, 14 years ago. OG.

BEST WHIP

TB.

The sun has set and Bereman is upside down over thousands of fans- X Games how it should be. TB swooped the Best Whip Gold Medal with a seemingly perfect rotation of upside-down and backwardness. The sunset was nice too..

PAT.

Patrick Evans showed no signs of stress in his rookie debut at X Games. He was narrowly edged out of a medal position, landing a 4th place finish in the Best Whip Final.

JULIEN.

Julien Van Stippen earning a Bronzey. The competition was fierce.

TOM P.

Tom Parsons earned himself a silver medal going both ways... his whips of course.

 TB's seat + medal.

FMX BEST TRICK

I watched FMX Best Trick from deep in the crowd- we had only arrived to the venue shortly before and hadn't gotten our fancy guest passes from Taka yet. We don't have content from that part of the event, but it was a wild one. Jacko bagged a silver medal for the Good Time Crüe with a cliffhanger frontflip... with a little more extension, he had Gold in the bag. We were glad to see our boy Harry Bink walk away after taking two heavy slams during his runs.

CONCLUSION

We are proud of the crüe for killlling it at X Games 2023 bringing home 7 medals and a world record. 'Til next year!
